WHOLE FOOD MEDICINE
a workshop for health professionals
A hands on day exploring the intertwined relationships between farm, soil, food, kitchen and health, focusing on whole food for sustaining wellbeing and improving clinical outcomes.
It is well researched that healthy food plays an important role in overall health and the treatment of diet responsive disease. Economic realities have led to food choices based on convenience and finding the lowest price, unfortunately these are generally ultra processed foods. It is well documented that
these are the foods detrimental to health.
Whole Food Medicine looks at various solutions to the issue of affordability along with accessibility and availability of culturally appropriate food so medical professionals can support patients transition to healthy shopping, food preparation and eating habits.

Haymans Farm is a beautiful Wealden pasture farm situated near to the hamlet of Shillinglee in West Sussex.
It comprises 152 acres of lowland grassland and lies adjacent to Chiddingfold Forest,
a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for butterflies.
It is a family farm where for many years the land was used for sheep grazing and haymaking.
More recently it has become home to a small herd of pasture-fed White Park cattle and a growing market garden.
Slightly off the beaten track, it is an absolute haven for wildlife and has a rich diversity of animal and plant species.
